When I found out last month that my original account in Twitter had been suspended, I was really pissed off. I don’t even know when it got suspended cos I have not been updating my status for a long time, at least 6 months.
My Twitter profile used to be active at http://twitter.com/seanfoo but due to some unexplained reason, Twitter has decided to close my account for investigation. Guess I should feel’ honoured’ in case the reason was due to overloading of traffic hits (or spamming LOL)
Anyhow, I have created a new account in Twitter and it’s URL is http://twitter.com/leadscapture
The reason for me to get another account on Twitter this time is purely to test out the basis of claims made by people who are supposedly ‘raking in’ hundreds and dare I say (enviously), thousands of dollars using the Twitter social media platform.
It’s going to be a pretty steep learning curve for me and I’m gathering the best tips and tricks to shorten my journey from Zero to Hero
.
When time permits, I’ll journal all my experiences and achievements in my personal blog at http://seanfoo.wordpress.com/ and distill the most relevant and latest stuff at my commercial blog (meaning I spent $$ on it with negligible incoming revenue) at www.bestremediesonline.com.

Just a quick browse through the Search Engines and I realise that there are tons of useful resources just on marketing via Twitter alone. Need a bigger and better brain to sponge off the knowledge and apply it soon too.
Wish me luck in my new internet marketing business.
Better yet, follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/leadscapture and make some cash with me together!
To your success!

Just when I thought my website here is enjoying good ranking in Google, I was struck with an awakening blast from the Search Engine hell! My page ranking has fallen to the second page
Probably due to my frequent changes in WordPress templates and wrong choice of content. Perhaps the exclusion of a well-defined Site Map does not help either. Well, it’s time to look for better remedies for SEO at BRO and I’m feverishly sourcing tips and tricks from the WordPress gurus.
If I keep to my intended strategy of focusing on popular keywords and filling up this space with much more related content, I should do fine within the next few weeks. My Christmas wish? To have BRO back on Top in Google at least

Got a great article below, a must read for anyone interested in starting an internet business from home:
Starting A Successful Internet Home Business
Lets start with this one cold hard fact: creating a successful Internet home business is not an easy task. It takes hard work and a whole lot of strategic planning. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably trying to sell you something!
Building any solid business takes hard work and planning. Why should creating a successful business on the Internet be any different? Just because you’re dealing with computers and aworld wide marketplace doesn’t mean it will be easy to construct and build a successful enterprise. It will take some work and effort on your part.
However, knowing what tools to use and some vital marketing knowledge will make your task much easier and much quicker. The Internet does have its own unique tools and methods which you should be familiar with before you start any web business. Complete knowledge of these marketing tools and information will greatly increase your chances of creating a successful Internet business.
1. Domain Name/Website
You must start with a Domain Name – most marketers either make their domain something catchy and short that visitors will quickly remember such as Digg.com, BestBuy.com, Yahoo!.com or they will directly tie in their main product or service in the domain such as Hotels.com, YouTube.com, Carloans.com and so on.
Your domain must be attached to a well designed and easy to navigate website. Preferably one that is professionally designed and equipped with all the commercial tools you need like a shopping cart and payment system. Like any business, you must try to accept all the major credit cards and display all the proper trust building icons such as ‘Better Business Bureau’…
Most professional online marketers keep graphics to a minimum and highlight their main benefit or product in a headline at the top of your webpage. You only have a few seconds to impress your prospective customer so summarize your whole site in one short benefit-loaded phrase or slogan. Be precise and direct in your presentation.
2. Keywords/SEO Strategy
Keywords, what surfers type into search engines to find what they’re seeking on the web, are the real cornerstones of any online website or business. You must find out the exact phrases and words people are using to find your product or service and target these keywords with your online site. Create pages and content on your site to draw in this targeted traffic. As a general rule, the more targeted your traffic/visitors are, the greater your conversion rate, i.e. the more sales you will make.
Professional online marketers do keyword research and a whole lot of testing to find the right high converting keywords that virtually guarantees sales. These marketers find the buyers at the right stage in the buying process, where customers already have their minds made up and are ready to buy. For example, someone searching for ‘cars’ is not as targeted as someone searching for ‘2007 Ford Mustang with Shelby GT exterior design’.
Savvy marketers use professional keyword research software such as Keyword Elite or use such sites as Good Keywords or Overture (Yahoo! Search Marketing) to find the number of monthly searches for the keyword phrases they target with their sites. Many online businesses outsource their keyword/link building to SEO specialists who do this job for them. These firms develop a long term SEO strategy of building links to targeted keyword phrases, thus building a successful business in the process.
3. AutoResponder/Opt-in Lists
The AR or AutoResponder is one of the most essential tools to building a successful online business. You must set up an Opt-in system on your site to capture the contact information of your visitors, this will increase your traffic and dramatically improve your sales. It has been proven that it takes 5 to 6follow-up emails before a customer buys your product or service.
It just makes good business sense. You must build a list of potential customers for your business. The AutoResponder makes this possible and is unique to the online world. You simply place a form on all your webpages to capture the name and email address of your visitors for further follow-up and contact. Instead of a surfer visiting your site just once, you draw them back again and again with special offers, deals or a daily/weekly newsletter.
The key element that makes the AutoResponder such a powerful marketing tool is trust! The Internet is still a very distrustful place. You simply use the AutoResponder and your follow-up system to build trust and a sense of loyalty from your potential customers. Once this trustful relationship is built, running a profitable business online will be easy.
4. RSS/Blog
Blogs and RSS feeds are essential online business tools. As we saw above, building a trustful relationship is very important to doing business online. Keeping an online Blog or daily journal is another way of building trust and keeping in contact with your customers or clients. Everyone likes to be a part of a group, a member of the club – having a company blog will help keep everyone a member of your business.
Blog and RSS feeds are a way to instantly connect with your visitors or customers. Podcasting and broadcasting (video casting)are excellent ways to more personally connect with your clients. Videos are all the rage right now and savvy marketers are using them in their advertising and marketing. Why should Google and YouTube had all the fun?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication, original acronym stood for RichSite Summary) will get your sales message out to your customers quickly. With the upcoming release of the RSS powered Windows Vista expect RSS to play an even greater role in your whole Internet experience. Make sure you have at least one RSS feed on your online business site.
5. Articles/Syndication Software
People want information first, products second. Regardless of what you’re selling or the type of online business you want to create, always keep in mind potential customers want information first and then the sales pitch. Give people good solid information and they will more likely buy from you. You must pre-sell your online business or product.
One of the best ways to pre-sell is by using articles. Simple informative, how-to, 500-700 word articles on all aspects of your online business. Place these articles on your own site and syndicate them around the web by using article distribution software or by submitting to such online article directories as Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com, Ideamarketers.com and Articleally.com – make sure you place a link back to your online business within the resource box at the end of each article.
Articles are an effective way of drawing very targeted customers to your site or business. Each article is a marketing tool in its own right. Create a whole army of these articles and you will see a marked increase in online visitors and customers.
As mentioned before building a successful online business is not an easy task. It does take some strategic planning and a whole lot of marketing tools with the knowledge to use them properly. But anyone can create a successful home business with the right equipment and the right attitude. You now have some excellent starting points, the next step is really up to you.

I recently updated via my Twitter homepage that I will not post my ongoing activities via Twitter due to the GTalk IM bug. It was much easier to update my posts to Twitter when I could ‘chat’ through the Twitter IM. The interface was much smaller and cleaner via GTalk.
However, it appears that Twitter is very much integrated with the rest of my blogging and social networking platforms and whatever I posted in the other social media websites was automatically updated in Twitter. I have inserted my Plaxo badge widget as a reference.
So the irony is, although I am not directly updating my activities via my Twitter homepage or even my Twitter account, Twitter is receiving RSS feeds about my activities online and is posting my updates through Twitter to the rest of my syndicated websites.
So I will resume my faith in Twitter for the time being, although there are reported bugs in being able to ‘follow’ threads. As for Plaxo, there is a premium fee required to use their tools, so if you wish to build a network for business connectivity, it is pretty limited.
It is evident that my blogs are doing quite well in the Search Engine rankings. Not only is my name Sean Foo, top in Google, it is also finally being picked up by Yahoo and MSN
Attached are the screen shots for keywords, “Sean Foo”:
By turning my name, Sean Foo, into a brand, and labelling myself as ‘The Brand Man’, I have literally created a new tagline cum keywords combo: Sean Foo, The Brand Man.
When you search for “Sean Foo The Brand Man”, this blog was listed firstin Google:
But by the time you read this post, things will have changed … Such is the dynamic life online! Nothing stays the same for long and maintaining your Search Engine ranking is a constant and vigilant investment of time and effort.
In this age of Self-Idolism and personal branding, it is paramount to have credibility and longevity. Being first and on top helps immensely because as what they always say in marketing, you want to remain “Top of Mind”!
I will reveal what is the latest development for Sean Foo The Brand in my next posts. Something is brewing in my little brain…
I am so glad that my efforts had paid off. My blog at bestremediesonline.com is also enjoying top spots in Google for keywords contained in the domain name; just like my name, Sean Foo, which appears at the top of the list when searched as keywords.

I will continue to build more SEO features into my blog, BRO, to maintain its position and to allow my community to contribute to its development.
Now that my blog is enjoying top ranking positions in major search engines, I must add more useful content and create greater meaning for its existence.
There is a Search Toolbar by DogPile sitting pretty at the top of my sidebar. Do check it out!
List of Helpful Websites
I have added a new page with links to helpful and useful websites or portals which can be used to start your journey to corrective action, behaviour, and knowledge. The title of the page is labelled “Helpful Links And Resources”, which you can click the above title of this paragraph to access.
This blog will start to shift away from me to you, the accidental visitor to my blog.
I hope you find what you are looking for…
MyHeritage: Family trees – Genealogy – Celebrities – Collage – Morph
I’ve been exploring the use of widgets to promote brand building activities and will be providing a list of my favourite gadgets from several blogging platforms so WATCH THIS SPACE soon!
If you scroll down to the footer area of my blog, you will see examples of embedded widgets. There are also several interesting widgets on the right sidebar…
For those who have been following my blog here, they will definitely get a surprise (or shock) at the latest design template I have chosen.
I have padded my blog page with quite a number of Google ads and now it looks more colourful and dynamic. Yes, my blog here is coming ALIVE!
The overall look is simple, clean and bright…with a green theme, consistent with my personal branding (and company’s brand image) which focuses on GREEN & SUSTAINABILITY. The company I am referring to here is Roof & Facade. More about my company? Visit green.roofandfacade.com and subscribe to our G+ magazine too.
I have been nurturing another personal blog using Blogger at this URL: http://budgetbrandbuilder.blogspot.com/
There is zero traffic over there since the day I launched it
However, this is the challenge I will undertake, to keep journaling my efforts to find the best online remedy to cure my blog traffic woes…of course I had not promoted my blogs due to my heavy workload at the office. Have to discipline myself to devote regular submission to all my blogs and update my profiles at my several social networking portals, like LinkedIn, Ecademy, Facebook, Ziki, and even Friendster (my peers tell me I’m too old for that)!
Much also get a book on WordPress. I prefer using Blogger with all the built-in gadgets. Very intuitive and simple to use for a novice like myself!
I have coined a new term using acronyms from my namesake, which is also my personal brand definition:
S=Sustainable
E=Entrepreneurial
A=Ambitious
N=Nucleus
F=Fortune-hunter
O=Offbeat
O=Omnivore
For the record, I will elaborate on the first and last definition for ‘S’ and ‘O’.
For Sustainability, I am a proponent of the Sustainable Movement and Sustainability.
As for being an Omnivore, I refer to the definition given by The Free Dictionary (www.thefreedictionary.com): One that takes in everything available, as with the mind; which aptly describes my open-mindedness.
Over this long weekend, thanks to the Deepavali holiday in Singapore, I will have the opportunity to revamp my major commercial blogging project. I always refer to BestRemediesOnline.Com (BRO) as a commercial project and I’m still far from making any money out of it!
Honestly, I place more emphasis on sharing personal experiences and knowledge. My focus in life has never been on generating more income for myself other than trying to get a higher salary, better perks, etc.
My prime motivation for my blogs is to experiment and observe, monitoring my evolution as a blogger. My justification to expend time and effort, sacrificing sleep and leisure, is the potential for my blogs to generate income. However, I realised that this was just another excuse to pick up a new skill. I want my blogs to really benefit my visitors/guests, to inspire them to try out new stuff the way I did…to be curious and learn how they personally can do things better, faster, more creatively and effectively.
I have a grand vision for BRO and I am setting my goal to align its contents and information structure to communicate my intentions and ideas with greater clarity and purpose. I hope to make it come alive not through ad-hoc contributions but by being disciplined in carrying out my plans.
Wish me success!
